The Storyteller Height - 13" seated , Width - 12", Depth - 8". One-of-a-kind figure whose head and limbs are sculpted from polymer clay, with a cloth body over a wire armature, and glass eyes. She wears traditional Navajo dress, with coral and turquoise beads and a concha belt.
The Storyteller is an important
member of all Native American societies. In the Navajo culture,
storytellers are traditionally shown with children around them.
However in this portrayal, we are her audience as she spins her tale. |
